hello kitty cafe in hongdae

...was actually a disappointment. As you can imagine there were a lot of visitors. I don't know how often the place gets cleaned, but the floor, particularly on the top floor and near the bathroom downstairs, was absolutely disgusting. It was sticky and dirty. In fact, I'd go ahead and say it had the dirtiest floors I have ever seen in a cafe. The place needed more staff. Floors aside, it was quite pretty and fun. The layout and the bathroom were super cute.

  1. That is... very Hello Kitty! I don't have strong feelings about Hello Kitty myself, but it's a cute idea. Too bad it wasn't as nice as it could have been.

    1. In all honesty, I don't have strong feelings about Hello Kitty either - it was more of a when-in-korea moment, because Seoul has a very strong cafe culture. In fact, I also went to a dog cafe, and when I told my friends back here, their first reaction has been, "But you don't even like dogs." When in Korea, I guess!

    1. I have no idea, and almost don't want to know. I know what sugar sticky is, but this felt a bit oily as well :(
